Indian fintech startup Zynk raises $5m to expand globally
Zynk, a New Delhi-based financial infrastructure startup, has raised US$5 million in a seed round led by Hivemind Capital, with participation from Alliance DAO, Coinbase Ventures, Transpose Platform VC, Polymorphic Capital, Tykhe Ventures, Contribution Capital, and others.
Zynk plans to use the new funding to expand its currency corridors, reinforce its compliance stack, and build partnerships with leading payment providers globally.
Founded by a team including the former CTO of Amazon Pay, a Morgan Stanley capital markets veteran, and a Harvard entrepreneur, Zynk provides infrastructure for instant cross-border settlements and embedded just-in-time liquidity for payment firms.
The company says its platform supports transactions across USD, EUR, AED, INR, MXN, and PHP.
Zynk, which launched in April 2025, says it has experienced 70% month-over-month growth since launch.
The company is supported by startup incubator T-Hub.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Zynk’s embedded liquidity needs regulatory clarity to sustain 70% growth
- Zynk says it removes pre-funded liquidity by embedding it in its network; mechanics are not public 1. Sources call it stablecoin/blockchain-based with hybrid settlement on and off chain across six corridors (USD, EUR, AED, INR, MXN, PHP), where a stablecoin is a crypto token pegged to fiat 2.
- Correspondent banking uses partner banks and needs country licenses for money transmission or payments, while stablecoin settlement faces changing rules in each jurisdiction.
- Growth is 70% month over month since April 2025 1. It needs authorizations in India and Mexico. It also needs them in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, not confirmed in public sources.
- Investors see Coinbase Ventures, venture arm of crypto exchange Coinbase 2. Without clear disclosures on mechanics and licensing, hard to judge an edge versus Visa Direct, Visa’s push-to-card/account network serving 11 billion-plus endpoints in 195-plus countries and territories 3.
Regtech and FX providers can target Zynk’s compliance and corridor expansion
- Seed funding targets compliance upgrades and corridor expansion 4. Vendors offering KYC/AML automation, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting can pitch integrations.
- FX liquidity firms and local payout PSPs in Mexico, Philippines, and UAE can seek settlement ties by tracking hiring for compliance roles, a signal of entry 1.
- Payment processors and remittance operators should request disclosures on settlement finality, counterparty risk, and conversion spreads, metrics missing from funding announcement 1.
- Regtech developers can watch for API documentation and developer touchpoints to plan integrations.
