🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
India’s Account Aggregator (AA) ecosystem counts 269+ million consents, yet Finvu’s share remains unclear
- The AA system enabled ₹1.67 lakh crore across 18.9 million loans in FY25 1 and 4.77 crore financial services 2, but public metrics do not tie Finvu AA’s 50+ million users to consent volumes or share among licensed AAs.
- We lack data on Finvu’s transaction velocity versus Reserve Bank of India (RBI)-licensed AAs or on which FIUs use its platform. With no per-provider data on the AA dashboard 3, investors struggle to read the US$15 million raise as strength or baseline growth.
IT integrators can sell AA integration kits to 780+ Financial Information Providers (FIPs) and Financial Information Users (FIUs)
- There are 780+ financial institutions in the AA network 4. Each must implement RBI-defined API specifications and is encouraged to get certification from Sahamati-empanelled auditors (Sahamati is the AA industry alliance in India) 5, which drives demand for integration tooling for compliance.
- AA use now spans business and secured loans 1. FIUs in wealth management or insurance need consent user experience design, analytics dashboards, or risk models for underwriting workflows. Third-party software vendors can package these services for sale.
- Map each institution across the five AA stages, from planning to certification and go-live 6. Use that view to build prospect lists for FIUs nearing launch and time outreach. Promote integration accelerators that cut build time from months to weeks.
