Indian fintech firm Definedge raises $2.3m pre-series A
Definedge Securities Broking Private Limited, a Pune-based fintech and brokerage firm, said it raised 220 million rupees (US$2.3 million) in an all-equity pre-series A round from existing and new investors.
The company said the funding brings its total capital raised to 300 million rupees (US$3.13 million), after its first institutional and angel round in November 2025.
Definedge said it will use the new money for product development, AI, automation, infrastructure, and margin-funding capacity.
Definedge also said it has crossed 10 billion rupees (US$104 million) in assets under management through Momentify, a momentum investing platform with exchange-traded fund groups.
The company said the capital will also support products including Zone, Opstra, Algostra, and Gurukul.
The margin-funding push comes as brokers offering margin trading facility are subject to Securities and Exchange Board of India and exchange rules, including net-worth certification.
