Indian fashion brand Outzidr raises $3.1m to open offline store

Outzidr, a Bengaluru-based women’s fashion brand targeting Gen Z consumers in India, has raised 27 crore rupee (US$3.1 million) in a pre-series A round led by RTP Global, with existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners also joining.

The new funding will be used to open Outzidr’s first offline store by March 2026 and to expand its design, operations, and technology teams.

Outzidr previously raised 30 crore rupee (about US$3.5 million) in a seed round led by Stellaris Venture Partners.

The company was founded in September 2024 and launched in February 2025 by Nirmal Jain, Mani Kant Mani, and Justin Mario, who have backgrounds in fashion and supply chain management.

Outzidr sells Western-style clothing online via its website and platforms like Ajio, Myntra, and Nykaa Fashion.

The company said it has served over 100,000 customers and released more than 8,000 styles in its first five months.

🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Ultra-fast product velocity drives competitive advantage in India’s booming fast fashion market

Outzidr’s strategy of launching 2,000 new styles monthly represents an extreme version of the rapid-cycle approach that’s driving growth in Indian fast fashion.

This pace far exceeds traditional fashion cycles and aligns with a market that saw 30-40% growth in FY24, significantly outpacing overall apparel growth 1.

The Indian fast fashion market is projected to nearly triple from $13.48 billion in 2025 to $39.74 billion by 2032, creating massive opportunities for brands that can move quickly 2.

Outzidr’s test-and-scale model allows them to pilot small batches and double down on bestsellers, minimizing inventory risk while maximizing trend responsiveness.

The company’s achievement of 100,000 customers and retention rates 1.5x above industry benchmarks in just five months suggests this velocity-first approach is resonating strongly with their Gen Z target audience.

2️⃣ Physical stores remain crucial despite digital-first launch strategies

Outzidr’s plan to open their first offline store by March 2026 reflects the reality that even digital-native Gen Z consumers value physical retail experiences.
