Indian EV startup BGauss secures $18.6m amid competition
Mumbai-based electric vehicle (EV) startup BGauss has secured 161 crore rupees (approximately US$18.6 million) in funding from Bharat Value Fund (BVF).
This investment, which includes both primary and secondary transactions, will help the company expand its domestic and international operations.
The funds will be directed toward capital expenditure, marketing, and research and development for new product launches.
Founded in 2020, BGauss offers a range of electric scooters in India, with all components developed in-house.
This funding comes amid heightened competition in India’s EV market.
New offerings from established brands like Ola, Honda, and Tata have intensified this competition.
