L&T Technology Services, an engineering and research and development services company, said on June 11 it had entered a partnership with Databricks.

The companies to co-develop and deliver industrial AI offerings for asset-intensive enterprises in energy, petrochemicals, and other industrial sectors globally.

LTTS said the partnership is anchored in its sustainability segment and covers process engineering, discrete manufacturing, and industrial products.

Plans include predictive asset reliability, energy and emissions optimization.

The partnership will also focus on overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and production intelligence, quality intelligence, and sustainability analytics using operational and engineering data.

The partnership combines LTTS’ industry expertise with Databricks’ data and AI platform.

It also fits Databricks’ broader model of working with consulting and industrial firms on sector-specific analytics.
