Indian eldercare startup Age Care Labs raises $9m
India-based eldercare firm Age Care Labs, which runs the Emoha and Epoch Elder Care brands, said on July 2 it raised 850 million rupees (about US$8.95 million) in a series B1 round from Shrem Group, Rainmatter, Pegasus Finvest, and other family offices.
It also partnered with Shrem Group, a Mumbai-based conglomerate with businesses in real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, and finance, to launch Shremoha, a senior independent living platform.
The company said the round is part of a planned 2.5 billion rupees (US$30 million) series B round it expects to launch in the first quarter of 2027.
It plans to use the new funds to expand services, invest in technology, strengthen healthcare capabilities, and support growth in India.
Age Care Labs provides subscription-based in-home eldercare through Emoha and operates assisted living and dementia care homes through Epoch.
Together, the two businesses serve more than 60,000 seniors across 120 cities.
The company has raised more than US$20 million to date, including an US$11 million pre-series B round in 2023 led by Rainmatter Capital and Gruhas.
A JLL-ASLI report said India’s senior living sector could reach US$7.7 billion by 2030, after attracting more than US$40 million in institutional investment over the past two years.
