Indian edtech startup ByteXL raises $9m

ByteXL, a Hyderabad-based edtech startup that works with engineering colleges on technology and AI training, has raised US$9 million in a funding round led by Elevar Equity.

with participation from

Existing investors Kalaari Capital and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation also participated in the round.

The company said the new capital will support expansion, product development, and more academic and delivery capacity.

The round follows byteXL’s US$5.9 million series A raise in July 2024.

ByteXL said 7,600 graduates were placed in information technology and engineering roles last year.

It also plans to expand its institutional network from 40 colleges to 120 over the next two years.
