Indian edtech firm Physics Wallah raises $210m series B

Indian ectech startup Physics Wallah announced Friday that it raised US$210 million in its series B funding round, increasing its valuation to US$2.8 billion.

The funding round was led by Hornbill Capital, with additional participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, GSV, and WestBridge.

Founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, Physics Wallah began as a YouTube channel in 2014.

Since then, it has reached over 46 million students across various channels. The company produces roughly 9,500 hours of educational content weekly, with over 30 million app downloads and 5.5 million paid subscribers.
