Bengaluru-based aerospace and defense startup Sanlayan Technologies has raised 186 crore rupees (US$22.4 million) in a series A funding round.

The round was led by investors Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, and Jungle Ventures, with participation from Gemba Capital, Singularity Ventures, and Shastra VC.

Founded in September 2023, Sanlayan specializes in advanced electronic systems, including radar, electronic warfare solutions, and mission-critical avionics.

The firm intends to use the newly secured funds to develop counter-unmanned aerial systems (CUAS) and electronic warfare (EW) technologies.

CUAS focuses on detecting and neutralizing hostile drones, while EW involves operations related to the electromagnetic spectrum, such as jamming and interception.
