Indian data center operator Yotta eyes $900m IPO

Yotta Data Services Pvt., an Indian data center operator, is preparing for an initial public offering to fund AI infrastructure, chairman Darshan Hiranandani said.

The listing could raise as much as US$900 million.

Hiranandani said Yotta runs India’s largest cluster of Nvidia chips and expects to reach 400 megawatts of capacity over the next 12 to 18 months.

Demand for AI computing outpaces the company’s ability to roll out infrastructure and receive equipment on time.

The expansion follows Yotta’s previously disclosed plan for a US$2 billion AI hub in Noida with 20,000 Nvidia Blackwell graphics processing units.

Yotta has engaged banks for the offering, and CEO Sunil Gupta said the company is targeting a valuation of as much as US$6 billion.

Hiranandani also said dollar-denominated sales are expected to rise to 80% next year, from about 20% last year.
