Indian D2C fashion startup TMRW to raise $50m from ServiceNow
TMRW, a digital-first fashion venture launched by Aditya Birla Group in 2022, will raise 437 crore rupee (US$50 million) from ServiceNow Ventures.
ServiceNow Ventures is the investment arm of US-based software company ServiceNow, which provides cloud computing and AI platforms.
TMRW said it plans to use ServiceNow’s AI technology to improve its speed-to-market, focused assortments, and consumer experience across its omni-channel operations.
The company’s brand portfolio includes Bewakoof, Wrogn, The Indian Garage, and Nobero, all aimed at Gen-Z and Millennial consumers.
Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, which created TMRW to acquire and incubate direct-to-consumer fashion brands, saw a 9% revenue rise to 1,831 crore rupee (US$209.4 million) in the June quarter but posted a 234 crore rupee (US$26.7 million) net loss.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ India’s D2C fashion market timing aligns with massive projected growth
TMRW’s fundraising comes as India’s Direct-to-Consumer market is experiencing significant expansion, with projections reaching $100 billion by 2025 and potentially $300 billion by 203012.
This growth is driven by over 700 million internet users and a growing middle class, creating favorable conditions for digital-first fashion brands1.
India’s clothing and apparel market alone is projected to reach $109.45 billion by 2025, with the fast fashion segment expected to grow by 30-40% in FY2434.
ABFRL’s plan to acquire and incubate 30 D2C brands under TMRW demonstrates recognition of this market opportunity, positioning the conglomerate to capture market share during this expansion phase.
The Rs 437 crore investment reflects the capital requirements needed to scale multiple brands in this rapidly growing but competitive landscape.
2️⃣ AI adoption in fashion addresses specific operational pain points
ServiceNow’s AI platform investment aligns with industry trends showing 38% of fashion retailers already using AI, with AI-powered supply chains improving efficiency by 20-30%5.
The focus on “speed-to-market” and “focused assortments” directly addresses two critical challenges where AI has proven effective: trend forecasting and inventory management67.
