Indian cybersecurity firm Pantherun secures $12m series A
Pantherun Technologies, a cybersecurity firm based in Bengaluru, has raised US$12 million in series A funding to support international expansion and further research and development.
The round was led by Sahasrar Capital Investors and Lucky Investment Managers, with participation from Capital 2B, 8X Ventures, Real Time Angel Fund, and Founders Collective Fund.
Pantherun said it will use the capital to grow operations in North America, Europe, and select Asia-Pacific markets, and to develop new security solutions for devices, cloud, edge systems, and operational technology networks.
The company plans to allocate about a quarter of the new funding to enhance its proprietary encryption technology.
Pantherun, founded in 2019 by Srinivas Shekar and Tiffany Chan, previously raised US$7.6 million from investors including Capital2B, GrowX Ventures, SIDBI Venture Capital, Piper Serica, ThinKuvate, Sanjay Katkar, among others.
