Indian creator commerce firm Wishlink raises $17.5m series B

Creator commerce platform Wishlink has raised US$17.5 million in a series B funding round led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, with participation from existing investors Fundamentum and Elevation Capital.

Founded in 2022 by Shaurya Gupta, Divyansh Ameta, and Chandan Yadav, Wishlink connects content creators, consumers, and ecommerce brands, operating on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.

The platform enables consumers to buy products recommended by creators directly from major ecommerce sites.

The company plans to use the new funds to enhance its technology, develop tools for creators and brands, and expand its sales and tech teams.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Wishlink’s tech focuses on creator earnings and brand measurement

  • Wishlink’s funding goes after a gap where only the top 1-2% of creators typically earn meaningful money through brand collaborations 1.
  • The company offers another way to earn by pooling brand partnerships, letting creators make money from organic product recommendations 1.
  • The investment backs a technology stack that gives brands clear, trackable sales attribution, as industry shifts make tracking cookies less reliable 2.
  • Its “Wishlink Engage” tool automates a comment-to-DM (direct message) flow by sending product links when a user comments with certain keywords, which can save creators time and raise engagement 1.

Creator-led commerce pairs with performance-style measurement

  • Wishlink’s approach treats creators as a commerce channel with performance-style tracking, rather than only a top-of-funnel branding outlet, which improves measurability for ecommerce brands 1.
  • For ecommerce brands, it adds a performance channel as traditional acquisition routes such as Meta and Google grow more saturated and expensive 1.
  • Early pilots delivered at least 30-50% more efficient user conversion funnels for brands 2.
  • The model pushes against an intent and search-based e-commerce playbook by supporting “serendipity-led” or discovery-driven commerce that starts on social platforms such as Instagram and YouTube 1.
