Indian cooling-as-a-service startup Circolife raises $4.5m

India-based Circolife, a startup that offers cooling equipment to businesses on a subscription basis, said on September 8 that it raised US$4.5 million in a pre-series A round to expand its cooling-as-a-service business nationwide.

The round was anchored by Bharat Jaisinghani, joint managing director of Polycab India Ltd.

Other investors included Nitish Mittersain, founder of Nazara Technologies.

Circolife said it has about 10,000 active subscriptions across five cities.

The startup said it will use the funding to expand its equipment fleet, installation teams, and service operations.

It also plans to further develop its AI-augmented internet of things predictive maintenance and digital twin platform, with a target of 40,000 active units across India within 24 months.
