Indian commerce startup Handpickd raises $15m series A

Handpickd, a fresh produce delivery startup based in India, has raised US$15 million in a series A round led by Bertelsmann India Investments, with participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund and existing investors.

The company plans to use the new funding to hire more staff, expand its reach in current markets, and further develop its supply chain technology.

Founded in 2024 by Anant Goel, Nitin Gupta, and Sahil Madan, Handpickd operates a zero-inventory model by sourcing produce directly from farmers after receiving customer orders.

Handpickd currently serves customers in Gurgaon, Noida, and Bangalore.

The platform delivers fresh fruits and vegetables in reusable trays, allowing customers to specify preferences such as ripeness and quantity for each order.

Handpickd aims to reduce waste by matching supply closely to demand, and by eliminating warehousing and storage in its operations.
