Indian coaching institute said to acquire Unacademy for $800m
India’s coaching institute Allen Career Institute is reportedly negotiating to acquire edtech startup Unacademy for around US$800 million.
This represents a decline from Unacademy’s peak valuation of US$3.44 billion in 2021, when it secured US$440 million in funding led by Temasek.
Discussions have been ongoing for months, though deal terms remain unsettled.
