Indian chip firm Cyient Semiconductors raises $30m
Cyient Semiconductors said on May 25 it secured US$30 million in financing from funds managed by Edelweiss and affiliated co-investors to expand its semiconductor business.
The deal includes about US$10 million in equity at a post-money valuation of US$500 million, and US$20 million in structured debt.
The company, launched in April 2025 as a fully owned subsidiary of Hyderabad-based engineering and technology services firm Cyient
It operates a fabless model and provides custom application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and semiconductor design services for sectors including AI and data centers, industrial automation, communications, healthcare, automotive, and electric vehicles (EVs).
Cyient Semiconductors said the new capital would help it expand its capabilities in power semiconductors and custom silicon, and grow its product platform.
The deal comes as India’s design-linked incentive (DLI) scheme supports qualifying fabless chip design projects.
The country’s power semiconductor market is projected to grow at a 12.5% compound annual growth rate through 2030, driven partly by EV adoption and industrial demand.
