Indian B2B commerce platform Fairdeal secures $3m pre-series A

Fairdeal.Market, a B2B quick commerce platform based in India, has raised US$3 million in a pre-series A round led by Incubate Fund Asia and Waterbridge Ventures, along with several angel investors.

The company said it plans to use the funds to enhance its technology, expand into new areas in Delhi-NCR, and add more direct-to-consumer and regional brands to its platform.

Founded by brothers Prateek and Yash Bansal, Fairdeal.Market serves micro-retailers with instant delivery and data-driven inventory management.

The company reported it is nearing an annual revenue run rate of US$10 million after one year of operations.

Fairdeal.Market provides access to a cloud inventory of over 1,000 SKUs, and aims to support small retailers with real-time supply chains.

The founders say the platform is designed to improve efficiency and margins for micro-retailers in India’s offline distribution sector.

🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ B2B quick commerce market maturation enables accelerated scaling

Fairdeal’s rapid approach to $10 million ARR within just one year of operations signals how the B2B commerce infrastructure in India has evolved significantly.

This timeline contrasts with earlier pioneers like Udaan, which took over two years to achieve unicorn status with a $1 billion valuation in 20191.

The faster trajectory suggests that foundational challenges around digital payment adoption, logistics networks, and retailer comfort with technology platforms have been largely addressed by earlier market entrants.

Market conditions have also improved substantially since companies like Udaan first entered the space, with better internet penetration and increased familiarity with digital commerce among small retailers following the COVID-19 pandemic.

2️⃣ Micro-retailer digitization remains vastly underpenetrated despite infrastructure improvements

The scale of opportunity in India’s micro-retail sector becomes clear when examining market penetration data from established players.

Even Udaan, one of the most successful B2B platforms, had only connected approximately 300 out of 2,500 shops in Bengaluru’s largest wholesale market as of 20191.
