Indian AI firm AM Intelligence to deploy 9,000 Nvidia GPUs
AM Intelligence, an AI infrastructure company set up by Greenko’s promoters, said on Aug. 25 that it had placed a binding order for about 9,000 Nvidia Rubin graphics processing units (GPUs) to be deployed as Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems at its first AI factory in Hyderabad.
Delivery is due in the first quarter of 2027.
The 30-megawatt (MW) Hyderabad facility is part of AMI’s planned 1-gigawatt (GW) compute-as-a-service expansion across India, the United States, Finland, and Malaysia.
The company said it plans to make an initial 200 MW available in the near term, with capital expenditure of more than US$8 billion.
AMI said it is designing the Hyderabad AI factory with RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) networking and advanced storage systems.
The company said the site would be one of the first frontier AI compute clusters in Asia.
In India, the IndiaAI Mission aims to expand the AI ecosystem and make AI infrastructure more affordable.
