Indian AI firm Fractal Analytics profit jumps 30%
India-based AI company Fractal Analytics said FY26 revenue rose 19% to 33 billion rupees (US$348 million).
Its net profit increased 30% to 2.9 billion rupees (US$30.2 million) as demand for enterprise AI services and margin expansion lifted earnings.
Revenue rose 17% year on year to 8.9 billion rupees (US$93.4 million) in the March quarter.
Net profit more than doubled to 1.2 billion rupees (US$12.1 million), with healthcare and life sciences as well as financial services emerging as the fastest-growing business segments.
Fractal said the US contributed over 67% of annual revenue.
Europe was its fastest-growing region in FY26, while the number of clients generating more than US$1 million in annual revenue rose to 59 from 53 a year earlier.
The company listed on Indian stock exchanges on February 16 through a 28.3 billion rupees (US$299 million) IPO.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Strong earnings follow a muted market debut
- Fractal posted strong earnings after its shares listed at a discount on February 16 1.
- The stock opened at 876 rupees (US$9.2) on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), or 2.7% below its 900 rupees (US$9.5) initial public offering (IPO) price, which suggested early investor caution 1.
- That caution tied back to a rich valuation, with one analysis putting the implied price-to-earnings ratio at about 109 times annualized FY26 earnings 2. The latest results help ease those worries 1.
Fractal’s results test the AI services model
- Unlike pure software companies, Fractal depends on long-term service contracts and custom projects rather than software subscriptions sold at scale 3.
- Its performance has become a read on the AI services category, where growth leans on specialized talent and on how much large companies spend during technology budget cycles 4.
- The margin gain fits a strategic goal described by Prabhudas Lilladher, an Indian financial services firm, which centers on separating revenue growth from headcount growth and lifting higher-margin software-as-a-service (software as a service (SaaS)) revenue under Fractal Alpha, the company’s software platform 5.
- Since listing on February 16, Fractal has joined a small group of AI-focused firms testing investor demand for tech listings beyond traditional information technology services companies 4.
