Indian AI enterprise platform Refold raises $6.5m seed funding

Refold AI, an enterprise integration platform based in San Mateo and Bangalore, has emerged from stealth with a US$6.5 million seed round co-led by Eniac Ventures and Tidal Ventures.

The funding will be used to expand the company’s engineering team and deepen product integrations.

Other investors include Better Capital, Ahead VC, Karman Ventures, Z21, and several angels.

Refold AI develops software that uses AI agents to automate and maintain API integrations for enterprise clients, aiming to reduce reliance on consultants and manual work.

The company said it currently serves over 30 enterprise customers, processes more than 30 million API calls per month, and has annual recurring revenue in the seven figures.

Refold AI was founded by the team behind JustDoc, which was previously acquired by Reliance.

🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Enterprise integration represents a massive service-to-software transformation opportunity

Refold’s emergence highlights how traditional integration challenges create significant addressable markets for AI-native solutions.

The company targets the $350 billion enterprises spend annually on consultancies and systems integrators for API management, while the broader integration market itself is valued at $30 billion annually with projected growth to over $30 billion by 203312.

This reveals that integration costs extend far beyond software licensing into expensive service work, which Refold aims to reduce through AI agents.

The economics are compelling: traditional API integration projects can cost upwards of $10,000 each and often require multi-quarter timelines3, while Refold claims to deliver similar results in days rather than months.

This aligns with broader enterprise software trends where companies are moving from service-heavy models to automated, software-driven solutions.

WSO2, a major integration vendor, processes over 5 trillion transactions annually across 450+ enterprise customers1, demonstrating the large scale of integration workloads that could benefit from automation.

Refold’s early traction—30+ paying customers processing 30+ million API calls monthly with seven-figure ARR—suggests enterprises are ready to adopt AI-driven alternatives to traditional integration consulting models.
