Flexprice, a startup based in New Delhi that provides billing software for AI-native and application programming interface (API)-first businesses, has raised US$1.5 million in seed funding led by Shastra VC.

Founded in late 2024, the company said it will use the capital to expand in the US and Europe and build products beyond billing, including metering, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.

The company said its platform processes more than 20 billion events a month across billing models tied to tokens, API calls, graphics processing unit (GPU) hours, and hybrid pricing.

Flexprice also uses a mix of open-source and commercial software licensing.

Expanding into usage-based billing could also create additional accounting and reporting complexity for software companies.
