Indian agritech startup raises $4.5m series A

KisanKonnect, a Mumbai-based agritech startup, has raised 39 crore rupees (US$4.5 million) in a series A funding round led by Mistry Ventures.

Other investors included Times Group’s Brand Capital, VC-Grid, managing partner Vishwang Desai, various family offices, and existing investor Shilpa Shetty.

The startup will use the funds to enhance its technology infrastructure, scaling operations, and expanding in urban markets.

It also aims to integrate AI to improve farm sourcing and supply chain efficiency.

Founded in 2020, KisanKonnect sources produce directly from over 5,000 farmers through village-level collection centers, emphasizing sustainable farming practices.

This round follows its pre-series A funding in January 2024, where it raised 31 crore rupees (US$3.7 million) to strengthen supply chain technology and operations.
