India-based gaming startup raises $1.2m for growth
Bengaluru-based gaming startup MetaShot has raised 11 crore rupees (around US$1.2 million) through equity and debt financing.
The funding round was led by Sauce VC, with contributions from Sharrp Ventures and Panthera Peak Capital.
Founded in 2021 by Prince Thomas, Ranjit Kumar Behera, and Ajith Sunny, MetaShot plans to use the funds for team expansion, research and development, and growth strategies.
The MetaShot smart bat, launched in August 2023, allows players to translate real-world cricket shots into game actions.
The smart bat offers six hours of playtime, USB-C charging, and Bluetooth connectivity to mobile phones.
