The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approached the country’s Supreme Court to consolidate cases filed by over 20 online sellers against Amazon and Flipkart.

These cases are currently spread across six high courts.

The CCI expressed concern that these parallel proceedings could disrupt its antitrust investigation into the two ecommerce giants.

It noted that such disruptions might delay proceedings and potentially benefit violators.

The investigation centers on claims that Amazon and Flipkart might have favored sellers like Cloudtail India, Appario Retail, Samsung India, and Vivo Mobile, potentially breaching competition regulations.
