India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has announced a new helpline aimed at assisting startups with issues related to government officials. This announcement was made during the Startup Mahakumbh 2025 event.

The helpline, part of the Startup India initiative, will allow startups to report corrupt practices and complaints related to bribery.

It will also enable them to suggest regulatory reforms and propose changes to existing frameworks to support innovative technologies.

“If somebody has developed a tool that is not covered by current laws, that may need a rethinking of existing regulatory frameworks, reach out to us on the helpline,” Goyal said.

The helpline initiative is expected to address the challenges faced by startups and promote innovation within India’s entrepreneurial landscape.
