India has unveiled a new US$1.15 billion fund of funds for startups as part of its federal budget for 2025-2026.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the fund, which aims to expand startup funding programs that have previously allocated over US$1 billion through alternate investment funds.

However, specific focus areas were not specified.

India’s startup ecosystem has attracted over US$100 billion in investments over the past decade and is home to over 100 unicorns.
