Top US tech firms including Intel, GlobalFoundries and Google will attend a business meeting in Vietnam during President Joe Biden’s visit. The US is seeking to boost Vietnam’s chipmaking sectors as part of a strategy to reduce dependence on China.

The meeting is expected to relate to the creation and expansion of factories and centres for chip design, assembly and testing in the country.
