Hyundai unveils mobility robot platform in Japan
Hyundai Motor Group has unveiled its first production-ready mobility robot platform at the International Robot Exhibition 2025 in Tokyo.
The South Korean group, whose major affiliates include Hyundai Motor and Kia, showcased the Mobile Eccentric Droid (MobED) at the event.
MobED was first introduced as a concept at CES 2022 and has since been developed into a fully autonomous robot platform powered by AI.
Two versions were presented: MobED Basic, designed as a foundation for research and development, and MobED Pro, equipped with advanced autonomous capabilities.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to start mass production of MobED in the first half of 2026.
