Huawei smartphone shipments surge as Apple leads in China

Huawei Technologies increased its presence in China’s premium smartphone segment in the third quarter of 2024.

The company’s shipments of smartphones priced over US$600 rose by 34% year-on-year, capturing a 33% market share.

Apple, while holding onto the top position in this segment, saw a 5% decline in iPhone shipments within mainland China during the same period.

Despite this, Apple maintained a 52% market share.
