HSBC’s mobile wallet platform completes migration to AWS
PayMe by HSBC has completed migrating its platform to Amazon Web Services (AWS), according to an announcement from AWS.
Launched in Hong Kong in 2017, PayMe serves over 3.2 million users, allowing customers to send money, split bills, and make purchases through a virtual debit card.
HSBC said the migration to AWS will help PayMe improve application response times, lower infrastructure costs, and enhance security.
The move also enables faster deployment of new features and better scalability during peak periods.
AWS and HSBC said the migration could serve as a model for other financial institutions planning to modernize their digital payment platforms.
