US HR firm ADP expands AWS partnership for workforce AI

US human resources and payroll software company ADP said it had expanded its partnership with Amazon Web Services, keeping AWS as its strategic cloud provider and working on generative and agentic AI tools for workforce management.

The companies said the partnership would support ADP’s more than 1.1 million clients across 140 countries and territories.

ADP is also moving key applications, including tax and payroll systems, to AWS. It said new onboarding tools cut certain steps by more than 50%.

The deal expands an existing relationship. ADP worked with AWS’s Software-as-a-Service Factory in 2020 to modernize its human capital management technology.

AWS also said ADP updated its compliance infrastructure on AWS.
