HP lowers full-year profit forecast as Q2 revenue rises 9%

HP, the US-based personal computer and printer maker, reported fiscal 2026 second-quarter revenue of US$14.4 billion, up 9% year on year, as Personal Systems revenue rose 13% to US$10.2 billion.

GAAP diluted earnings per share was US$0.49, and non-GAAP diluted EPS was US$0.86.

GAAP EPS rose from US$0.42 a year earlier but was below HP’s earlier outlook of US$0.52 to US$0.58.

Non-GAAP EPS was above the company’s earlier outlook of US$0.70 to US$0.76.

Second-quarter operating cash flow was US$0.9 billion, and free cash flow was US$0.8 billion.

HP ended the period with US$3.7 billion in gross cash after paying US$274 million in dividends and spending US$100 million on share repurchases.

HP lowered its full-year GAAP EPS outlook to US$2.15 to US$2.45 from US$2.47 to US$2.77, narrowed non-GAAP EPS guidance to US$2.90 to US$3.10 from US$2.90 to US$3.20.

The company kept free cash flow guidance at US$2.8 billion to US$3.0 billion.
