Horizon Robotics unveils latest advances in smart driving

Horizon Robotics unveiling updates to its SuperDrive system, including an urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) mode that enables reverse driving for U-turns on narrow or dead-end roads without human input.

A “roaming mode” also allows vehicles to operate autonomously in enclosed areas without a predefined route.

The SuperDrive system aims to improve smart driving and tackle urban challenges by using real-time environment rendering for more human-like interactions and decision-making.

The system operates independently of high-precision maps, making it applicable in varied traffic situations across China.

The company expects mass production of vehicles equipped with SuperDrive technology to begin in Q3 2025, with projected deployments surpassing 10 million unit.
