Helm.ai, a California startup backed by Honda, has launched Helm.ai Vision, a camera-based system to advance self-driving technology.

The company is working with Honda to integrate it into the 2026 Honda Zero series EVs, supporting hands-free driving.

Helm.ai is also in talks with other automakers to license the software, according to CEO Vladislav Voroninski.

The system uses images from multiple cameras to build a bird’s-eye view map for vehicle navigation and control.

It works with hardware from Nvidia and Qualcomm, making it easy for automakers to integrate.

Helm.ai has raised US$102 million from investors including Goodyear Ventures, Sungwoo HiTech, and Amplo.
