HK research arm Flair opens embodied AI applications hub

Flair, the Hong Kong Productivity Council’s Hong Kong-based AI and robotics research arm, launched an embodied AI applications hub in Hong Kong on October 15.

The facility will train and test embodied AI systems and humanoid robots for manufacturing, logistics, retail, and public services.

The Hong Kong Productivity Council said the hub will provide real-world environments for model training, system validation, and scenario testing.

It aims to help embodied AI projects move from lab research to commercial use.

In its first phase, the hub brought together seven technology partners, including Robotera, Unitree Robotics, and Rice Robotics, and eight international scenario partners.

Hong Kong secretary for innovation, technology, and industry Sun Dong attended the opening ceremony.
