HK asset manager Flow Capital taps DigiFT for tokenized fund

Hong Kong-based alternative asset manager Flow Capital Partners plans to offer tokenized shares of its $150 million private credit master fund through Singapore platform DigiFT by month-end, seeking to raise another $30 million by year-end.

DigiFT is a Singapore-based blockchain platform, and the launch would make Flow one of the first APAC managers to tokenize private credit for stablecoin investors.

Private credit pressure from higher rates, while the stablecoin market rose 37% in the last 12 months to $320 billion, according to DefiLlama.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

This partnership links Flow Capital Partners’ new fund plan with a regulated tokenization platform

  • Flow Capital Partners relaunched in June 2025, shifting from a China- and Hong Kong-centric model to a wider Asia-focused hybrid credit strategy 1.
  • The new master fund started with US$125 million from the founder and will invest across private and public credit in Asia-Pacific 2.
  • DigiFT, the Singapore-based blockchain platform offering the tokenized shares, holds a custodial license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Singapore’s central bank and financial regulator, under its existing Capital Markets Services (CMS) license 3.
  • The deal fits within Singapore’s Project Guardian, an MAS initiative with firms like Apollo, the US alternative asset manager, and UBS, the Swiss bank, to build rules for tokenized assets 4.

Tokenization offers a liquidity option while private credit deals with tighter terms

  • Large private credit funds have faced liquidity pressure, with managers such as Blackstone and Blue Owl limiting investor withdrawals as redemption requests rise 5.
  • Tokenization can offer another route for exits since investors may trade tokens on a secondary market rather than seek fund redemptions, which DigiFT supports through an automated market maker (AMM), a system that uses algorithms to match trades 6.
  • The partners plan to attract stablecoin capital by offering a regulated, real-world investment to professional investors, the same audience DigiFT targets through offerings launched with Taikang Asset Management (Hong Kong), an asset manager serving institutional investors 7.
  • More institutions are using tokenization to improve distribution and disclosure for institutional assets, moving beyond crypto-native speculation toward regulated financial products 4.
