Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is said to be in talks to acquire Jaipur-based skincare startup Minimalist for up to US$350 million, according to sources.
The move aligns with HUL’s strategy to expand its skincare portfolio, which already includes Dove, Pond’s, and Lakmé, and follows its 2023 acquisitions of Oziva and Wellbeing Nutrition.
Founded four years ago, Minimalist offers a range of skincare products, including sunscreen and hair-repair serums.
While discussions continue, no agreement has been finalized, and HUL stated it regularly evaluates strategic growth opportunities.
