HempStreet, an India-based ayurvedic cannabis startup, has received US$1 million in pre-series A round led by an existing backer, Carl Waahlin of Waahlin Holdings.

The startup will use the funds to expand clinical trials and develop its proprietary products, which include four medicinal cannabis formulas for the local and overseas markets.

Ayurveda is a natural system of medicine originating from India that uses herbs, massages, and other therapies as treatment.
