GXS Bank launches credit card with Grab, Singtel
Singapore-based digital bank GXS Bank, owned by Grab and Singtel, launched the GXS Credit Card in Singapore on August 17.
The move adds a credit card to its retail lineup, which already offers savings accounts, debit cards, and FlexiLoan products.
Issued in partnership with Visa, the card offers up to 10% back on eligible Grab spending in GrabCoins, 1.75% cashback on Singtel bills with no minimum spend, and 1.75% cashback on other eligible spending for cardholders who spend at least S$500 (US$390) in a monthly billing cycle.
Customers can apply through the GXS app, and Grab users can also apply through the Grab app.
GXS said the first 1,000 customers who order a physical card from August 18 at 12 p.m. Singapore time will receive a limited-edition version.
The bank also said customer deposits are insured up to S$100,000 (US$78,000) by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The launch comes as rival digital bank MariBank already offers a credit card tied to Shopee rewards, suggesting credit cards are becoming a standard product for Singapore’s digital banks.
