Granite Asia, Japan’s Integral Corporation form joint venture
Granite Asia and Japan’s Integral Corporation have announced the formation of Granite-Integral, a joint venture aimed at cross-border investment opportunities in Japan.
The collaboration was unveiled on Mar. 31 with an initial capital commitment of US$100 million, equally contributed by both partners.
The joint venture seeks to support high-growth technology companies entering the Japanese market. It also aims to assist Japanese firms in expanding internationally, particularly in Southeast Asia and other growth regions.
Integral Corporation will leverage its tech-focused investment arm, Integral GlobalTech Partners Corporation, for this initiative.
Granite-Integral’s strategy includes addressing challenges faced by global tech companies in Japan. These challenges include regulatory and cultural complexities. The venture also aims to provide Japanese businesses with resources for international scaling.
The joint venture will be co-led by CK Choun of Integral GlobalTech Partners Corporation and Joe Yan of Granite Asia. Both leaders have extensive experience in cross-border investments and technology business scaling.
Granite Asia is a multi-asset investment platform based in Singapore, managing US$5 billion in assets. Integral Corporation is a Tokyo-listed private equity firm specializing in buyouts.
