Grammarly acquires productivity startup Coda

Grammarly has acquired the productivity startup Coda and appointed its CEO Shishir Mehrotra as the new chief executive.

The two companies aim to combine their strengths to create a productivity platform.

The financial details of the transaction are not disclosed, while Grammarly aims to integrate Coda’s AI tools into its offerings.

Grammarly, founded in 2009, serves 40 million active users and is valued at US$13 billion. Coda was valued at US$1.4 billion after its series D funding in 2021.
