Grab Malaysia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC) to advance digital transformation in Sarawak.

The partnership aims to boost tourism and support local small businesses by improving digital accessibility and economic opportunities.

The collaboration will leverage Grab’s platform to promote Sarawak as a prominent tourism destination in Southeast Asia.

Traditional merchants in the region will receive assistance in digitalizing their operations, increasing their customer reach and income potential.

The agreement also plans to enhance sustainable tourism by expanding electric vehicle (EV) use for transportation within the state.
