Grab Indonesia taps Wuling to expand its EV fleet

Wuling Motors, a China-based automaker with operations in Indonesia, has supplied electric vehicles to Grab Indonesia for its GrabRentals service. The fleet was handed over this week as the companies expanded EV use in app-based transport.

Wuling is providing its New BinguoEV Lite model.

Grab said more than 14,000 EVs were already operating in its Indonesia ecosystem, including through GrabRentals. The ride-hailing giant aims to triple that number by end-2026.

The company had previously said its two-wheel EV fleet alone had passed 10,000.

Wuling entered the partnership as one of Indonesia’s top 10 retail car brands by April 2026 sales volume.
