Grab, GXS Bank launch EV tools for Singapore drivers
Grab and GXS Bank, a Singapore-based digital bank, said on September 9 they were launching EV charging and financing tools, and a vehicle marketplace in Singapore. The tools aim to help Grab driver-partners switch to electric vehicles.
Grab said it would trial the EV Charging Network in September and roll it out to all driver-partners by the end of this year. The feature lets drivers find chargers, check real-time availability, and pay in the Grab Driver app.
GXS Bank said its GXS AutoLoan uses data from Grab’s ecosystem, including drivers’ track records, to improve credit assessments.
The loan may offer up to 100% financing and repayment terms of up to 10 years for new electric or hybrid vehicle purchases.
Grab also launched a car marketplace offering new vehicles from dealer partners and pre-owned vehicles from GrabRentals’ fleet.
The move builds on Grab’s existing rental-related EV discount program in Singapore and comes as the city-state promotes EVs under its green transport agenda.
