Grab adds redBus ticket booking in Malaysia app
RedBus, an online bus-ticketing platform, is now available in the Grab app in Malaysia. Through Grab’s Partner Apps ecosystem, users can browse, compare, and book intercity bus, ferry, and cross-border trips without downloading another app or creating another account.
The companies said users can book trips from more than 200 operators across Malaysia and Singapore. The service includes Malaysia-Singapore bus routes and ferry services between Malaysia and Indonesia.
Users can pay with GrabPay, earn GrabCoins on eligible bookings.
The move gives redBus another distribution channel rather than marking a market entry. The company launched in Singapore and Malaysia in 2015. Its Malaysia platform says it covers 4,000 routes linking the two countries.
For Grab, the rollout fits its plan to expand services through Partner Apps. The ecosystem launched in Singapore and Malaysia in 2025 with redBus among the initial partners.
