GoTo Group, Tencent Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud have announced partnerships to enhance Indonesia’s cloud infrastructure and digital skills development.

These collaborations were unveiled during the Indonesia-China Business Forum in Beijing, organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce China Committee. It was attended by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who was on a state visit to the country from Friday to Sunday.

Tencent Cloud plans to invest approximately US$500 million by 2030 to establish a third internet data center (IDC) in Indonesia, aiming to provide local businesses with advanced cloud and AI solutions.

A skills centre at the University of Indonesia will be established as part of the Alibaba Cloud Academic Empowerment Program to train Indonesians in cloud computing and AI.

These initiatives align with existing collaborations, as GoTo uses both providers to ensure data remains within the country.
