GoTo, an Indonesia-based ride-hailing and food-delivery company, fell 14% to 43 rupiah (US$0.0024) in early Jakarta trading after the Indonesia Stock Exchange removed its 50 rupiah (US$0.0028) price floor, releasing pent-up selling pressure after the stock had sat at the minimum for about four months.

The exchange cut the minimum trading price for listed shares to 1 rupiah (US$0.0001) from 50 rupiah (US$0.0028).

The change aims to improve price discovery and liquidity in low-priced stocks that had become hard to trade because they could not fall further.

The move is part of market reforms after MSCI warned about investability concerns in Indonesia tied to transparency and information flow.

GoTo was removed from MSCI indexes last month after it failed liquidity requirements, a move that typically forces index-tracking funds to sell.

Wilbert Arifin, an analyst at Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia, said the next few months will show whether the drop is mainly technical or also reflects concerns about GoTo’s fundamentals and valuation, even though the company reported a second straight quarterly profit in Q2 2026.
