GoTo shareholders approve canceling 2.7% of shares

GoTo, Indonesia’s largest tech group, said shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting in Jakarta on October 14 approved all agenda items.

These included the cancellation of 32 billion treasury shares and the resignation of vice president director Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo.

The shares account for 2.7% of GoTo’s outstanding stock, the company said.

GoTo had previously said it was seeking the cancellation to increase shareholder value.

The board changes took effect at the close of the meeting. Hans Patuwo remains GoTo group CEO, while Agus Martowardojo remains president commissioner.

The approvals came after GoTo reported net profit for the first time in the first quarter of 2026 and remained profitable in the second quarter.
